Here's what my inset looked like when I got home from the KAL.
Here's what it looked like after the first repeat.
Here is the finished (unblocked) back inset.
Yay!! My first cables!!!
Since then, I have cast on the back...12 inches of stockinette stitch to go. I wonder how many times I'll be picking up one of my other projects during this piece.
In TEN for 2010, Part I, I listed cables as #1 new knitting technique - Check!
I listed knit-in pleats as #2, which will be after the 12 inches...
The other thing I did for the first time with this project was knitting from a chart. Do you think I can list knitting from a chart as #3? If so, check! Let me know what you think!
What kind of superhero do you want to be?
Looks great, and I love that red! :D And hellyeah, you can count the chart as #3! Once you learn that, which you obviously have, you'll be able to work up all those weird Swedish/Norwegian/German/Martian patterns. LOL
ReplyDeleteYou are doing great! I LOVE this! Not sure of wraps on back so have it on needle and srarted the front until I get there. I hope to get there this week. Keep on knitting!!
