Anxiously Waiting...

So I am anxiously waiting to start my winter knitalong, Nora's Sweater by Pamela Powers.  The yarn should be in this week and the KAL starts in two weeks.  I'm tired of working on my gloves (teeny-tiny sock yarn that I'm not used to working with), I have a project that needs blocking (would rather have needles in my hand), and I just need to knit something to pass the time.

Well, I've been promising Zapamundo (my husband's villanous alter-ego) that I'd make him a winter hat and I found a great pattern for which I can use the leftover yarn from the college cozies.  It is the turn a square hat by Jared Flood, which is a free download on ravelry.  It was such a quick knit that I think I might make one for my dad too.  I lent my camera to a friend so until I get it back, here's a picture from my phone.

I need to steam the base of the decrease so it will lay a little better.  Then I'll have Zapamundo model it for me.

What kind of superhero do you want to be?

  1. Good to see you again. I can't wait until we start the knit along either. I won't be there every week but some weeks. I want to see the goves the next time I am there. LOL
